I recently co-led a Paper/Paper-making Workshop with Mattt Presutti for pre-college students at the Chipstone Foundation and the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Milwaukee, WI. Thanks to Jon Brown, Director of the Chipstone Foundation, Corbet Toomsen, Director of Youth and Community Programs, MIAD, Cedar Meik, MIAD student assistant and all the enthusiastic students.

In December 2022, I completed a residency at the Edinburgh Printmakers, Edinburgh, Scotland. This is Scotland’s largest public printshop. I worked with a friendly and knowledgeable staff and met some wonderful printmakers fro around the world. Thanks to Alastair, Sally, Flo, Jordan, Namara, Jordan and James for making it happen.

I had five pieces included in the six-person When Tress Dream at the South Dakota Art Museum, Billings, SD. Thanks to Taylor McKeown, Curator/Coordinator of Collections and his staff at SDAM, and co-curators/organizers Rina Yoon and John Schuerman.

In March 2025, I completed a week-long visiting artist program in the Printmaking, Book Art, and Paper Area at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In Andy Rubin’s Lithography class, I created a four-run, six color lithograph that will become part of his class semester portfolio. The image was printed by Andy and his students in an edition of 13 with various arts proofs. In his relief class, instructional technician and master printer Erin McAdams made 12, 8” x 8” laser-engraved woodblocks of my images that the students printed and then personally altered. On January 22nd I led a one-day workshop at the Chipstone Foundation in Milwaukee, WI. “Paper: A Material Intelligence Workshop” is the first in a series that focuses on the foundation's Material Intelligence Initative.

Some snapshots from the first physical openings since the pandemic.

I spent early April in Massachusetts. First was a week-long stint at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Here I worked with faculty members making images combining digital prints, laser engraved woodblocks and lithography plus a variety of techniques including paper dyeing, charcoal and shellac. Massive thanks to John Schulz for organizing the gig. Also thanks to Michelle Samour and her paper making class who made some beautiful Kozo paper for me. And thanks to master printer Carolyn Muskat for her lithographic expertise. And lastly, to the many students I met and worked alongside in the printshop.

I also attended my two-person show with Therese Zemlin at Phillips Andover Academy's Gelb Gallery in Andover, MA Here I talked to students in a painting and drawing class and gave an opening talk with Therese. Major thanks to Therese for setting all this up and to all the wonderful faculty and students at PA.

In October, I was co-organizer along with Professor Rina Yoon at the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. MIAD Prints was a one-week monoprint workshop with 12 internationally acclaimed artists, MAID students and staff. A wonderful week with great people!
